Product description 

SA 516 GR 60/70 (DUAL GRADE) PLATE is a carbon steel plate that is primarily intended for use in welded pressures where notch toughness is vital. This grade of plates covers a good range of tensile strength and hardness. In addition to it includes additional content such as manganese, sulphur, silicon, and phosphorus that offers superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures. The additional content also facilitates good ductility and toughness. In addition to the presence of carbon, content offers to provide the steel at a lower melting point more durability and malleability. Thus it also enhances better heat distribution. The plates brilliantly perform in hostile environments and feature uniform surface and sturdy construction. Furthermore, it also offers good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion in tough climatic circumstances. However, these also retain acidic attacks in the soaring environment. The plates are restricted to extra low phosphorus, sulphur, and other residual elements. Therefore these are heat treated at high-temperature conditions, further, these are hot and cold worked.
